• In 2008, Carded a season-low 68 in the second round of the LPGA State Farm
Classic.
• In 2007, best finish was a tie for 22nd at the Navistar LPGA Classic.
• In 2006, best finish was a tie for 17th at the Honda LPGA Thailand 2006.
• In 2005, best finish was a tie for 19th at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay.
• In 2004, best finish was a tie for 29th at the Franklin American Mortgage
Championship benefiting Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital; recorded the third ace of
her LPGA career during the first round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
• In 2003, best finish was 15th at the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women’s Open;
recorded her second LPGA career hole-in-one during the first round of the U.S.
Women’s Open.
• In 2002, best finish was a tie for 12th at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic Presented by
ALLTEL, where she tied her career low 63 in the final round; crossed the $1 million
mark in career earnings after tying for 19th at the Longs Drugs Challenge.
• In 2001, ended the year with a season-best tie for second at the Asahi Ryokuken
International Championship at Mount Vintage.
• In 2000, best finish was a tie for 11th at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic.
• In 1999, best finish was a tie for 14th at the Welch’s/Circle K Championship.
• In 1998, recorded three top-10 finishes, including a career-best second place at the
Rainbow Foods LPGA Classic, where she lost to Hiromi Kobayashi on the first hole
of a sudden-death playoff.
• In 1997, recorded her first LPGA career hole-in-one during the second round of the
Nabisco Dinah Shore; tied for seventh at the Welch’s/Circle K Championship.
• In 1996, recorded her career-low 63 during the third round of the Oldsmobile Classic,
where she finished fourth.
• In 1995, finished second in the Rolex Rookie of the Year race, just five points behind
winner Pat Hurst; best finish was a tie for fourth at the GHP Heartland Classic.
• In 1994, prior to joining the LPGA Tour, played on the Women Professional Golfers’
European Tour (WPGET), Futures Tour, Players West mini-tour, where she won two
events, and the Asian Tour, where she won the Indonesian Open; named the
WPGET Rookie of the Year; tied for 12th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to
earn exempt status for the 1995 LPGA season.

Amateur
During Hanson’s amateur career, she captured numerous titles, including the 1989 Women’s Western Junior Championship and the 1991 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship. In 1991, she was the low amateur at the U.S. Women’s Open. She was a member of the 1992 U.S. Curtis Cup Team. She played collegiate golf at San Jose State University, where she won 10 collegiate titles and was a member of the 1992 NCAA National Championship team. Hanson was a four-time All-American and three-time Academic All-American at San Jose State University. |
