It’s hard to believe that the 2008 Meijer Charity Classic is already a fond memory. We are so fortunate that the weather was perfect for a day of golf, and from the Pairings breakfast through the Awards dinner, we received many wonderful compliments from amateur teams and LPGA professionals alike. All in all, a very good day!
We want to say a very special thank you to LPGA touring professional Christina Kim who stepped up to the first tee at the last minute to serve as our headline player. She was a star! Media, players and galleries enjoyed her company, sense of humor and wonderful play. Thanks, Christina – you are a gem. And of course, it wouldn’t have been a West Michigan tournament without our very own Allison Fouch, who is doing great things in her first year on the LPGA tour this season. Keep it up Allison – we’re cheering for you!
Once again, major credit must go to our sponsors. Thanks for your unwavering support and enthusiasm.
We sincerely hope all sponsors and Pro Am players enjoyed the 2008 Meijer Charity Classic. We will make a significant contribution to Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids because of your participation and support.
